Bridging the Gap Between Recovery and Real Life
With over a decade of experience in addiction counseling, education, and recovery coaching, Albert Montes has dedicated his career to transforming how individuals, families, and professionals understand and navigate the recovery journey.
Albert Montes is a RADT addiction counselor, recovery educator, and author whose work sits at the intersection of clinical expertise and lived understanding. His approach is rooted in the belief that recovery is not a destination — it is a lifelong practice of growth, connection, and self-discovery.
Albert began his career working directly with individuals in early recovery, quickly recognizing that the gap between clinical treatment and real-world application was leaving too many people without the tools they needed to sustain lasting change. This insight became the foundation of The Modern Counselor System — a framework designed to make evidence-based recovery education accessible, practical, and deeply human.
Over the years, Albert has worked with treatment centers, community organizations, and government agencies to develop training programs that equip counselors, social workers, and healthcare professionals with modern, trauma-informed approaches to addiction and recovery. His workshops are known for their clarity, depth, and immediate applicability in real clinical settings.
As an author, Albert has written five books covering the full spectrum of recovery — from 12-step companion guides to family recovery frameworks and trauma-informed care. His publications are used by counselors, sponsors, and individuals in recovery across the country.
